I am a licensed mental health counselor in NY. I received my master's in mental health counseling from Yeshiva University and have over 10 years of licensed experience.  I collaborate with my clients using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, ERP, and motivational interviewing. I welcome clients to approach their challenges with curiosity and strive to create a nonjudgmental environment where they can explore their thoughts, emotions, and actions, and we can work together to make changes that align with their values and goals. I understand that motherhood can feel overwhelming, scary, and challenging even on good days.

Black Motherhood

Black motherhood comes with unique joys, strengths, and challenges that deserve to be seen and supported. Many Black mothers carry the weight of being expected to always be strong while navigating pregnancy, postpartum recovery, parenting, career demands, and family responsibilities. Experiences with racial disparities in healthcare, feeling unheard or dismissed by providers, a lack of culturally responsive care, and the emotional impact of systemic oppression can contribute to anxiety, depression, stress, isolation, and burnout.

Many mothers also experience the invisible mental load—managing the household, remembering every detail, caring for everyone else, and feeling pressure to do it all perfectly. Therapy provides a safe, affirming space to process these experiences, reconnect with your identity, improve self-esteem, practice self-compassion, and prioritize your own mental health while building the tools to thrive in every stage of motherhood.

Anxiety

Anxiety can make everyday life feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face it alone. My compassionate anxiety therapy helps you manage worry, reduce stress, and develop healthy coping strategies so you can regain confidence and find greater peace of mind.

Life Transitions

Motherhood looks different as your children age and you both grow through different life stages. Parenting toddlers and parenting college students present different challenges. In therapy, we can process your feelings as your role as a mom evolves over time.

LGBTQIA+

A welcoming, affirming, and judgment-free space for LGBTQIA+ individuals to explore life's challenges, strengthen self-acceptance, and support their mental and emotional well-being. Therapy is personalized to each client's unique experiences, goals, and journey.

Cultural and Systemic Oppression

Therapy provides a supportive space to process the emotional impact of cultural and systemic oppression, discrimination, and identity-related stress. Together, challenges can be explored, resilience can be strengthened, and healing can begin in an affirming, compassionate environment.

Mood Disorders

Therapy offers compassionate support for individuals living with mood disorders, including depression and bipolar disorder. Together, emotional challenges can be addressed while building healthy coping skills, improving emotional well-being, and fostering lasting stability.

OCD

Intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors can displace the thoughts and behaviors you want to have. If you feel that your time is hijacked by OCD symptoms, you may benefit from Exposure and Response Prevention treatment. Working together, we can reduce time- and energy-consuming compulsive behaviors and address intrusive thoughts.

Racial Identity

Exploring racial identity can bring unique emotional experiences and challenges. Therapy provides a supportive, culturally affirming space to process these experiences, strengthen self-understanding, and foster resilience and personal growth.

Self Esteem

Low self-esteem can impact relationships, confidence, and overall well-being. Therapy helps individuals challenge negative self-beliefs, build self-confidence, and develop a stronger sense of self-worth.

Identity

Motherhood can feel all-consuming at times. With limited time, numerous responsibilities, and caring for your family, it’s easy to feel disconnected from yourself. Many moms seek treatment to develop a better understanding of themselves. If you’ve stopped participating in past hobbies, don’t spend time with friends, and can’t engage in self-care, therapy about identity issues may be beneficial for you. We can work together to identify your passions and how you can reincorporate them into your daily life.

Postpartum Anxiety

Are you reluctant to hand the baby off to others so you can have a break? Staying up long after the baby falls asleep to monitor them? Are you unable to stop the thoughts that something bad is going to happen to the baby and there is nothing you can do? Feeling irritated with those around you and unable to accept help?
These can be symptoms of postpartum anxiety. In therapy, we can work on implementing new coping skills, reducing anxious thoughts, and adjusting your behaviors so that you can move forward from constantly feeling fight or flight.

Postpartum Depression

You may have expected the postpartum period to be tiring but also beautiful and happy. If you are feeling disconnected from your baby, overwhelmed, or have a sense of deep, profound sadness, you may be experiencing postpartum depression. We can work together to develop coping skills and to process your postpartum emotions.

Infertility

Infertility can feel isolating, exhausting, and emotional. Often, women feel that they are living their lives cycle to cycle and feel afraid to make long-term plans. In therapy, we can navigate the two-week waits, numerous doctor appointments, and insensitive comments from others. Individuals dealing with infertility are often experiencing prolonged disenfranchised grief that others may not understand.
